Alexis is a family legacy doctor with a high status, but is locked into a world she didn’t ask for. Yes, it still has Abby’s trademark whip smart voice, but it is softer and more tender in a way that makes the characters more real. While I’ve loved each and every one of Abby’s books, this is my favorite. As much as I wanted to dive into it and read it within 24 hours (which is easy to do with Abby’s writing) I made myself savor it.
